One of the bull moose at Brainard lake was shot this weekend.
I was, and still am, saddened by the news. I was privileged enough to see him/them multiple times. I'm not against hunting. I'm saddened most by the loss of opportunity. I was raised in Colorado and this is only the 2nd time in my life I've seen a moose. They're amazing creatures. To be able to see one in the wild, at relatively close range, was a unique opportunity.
